Neptune strictly prohibits content that praises, promotes, or supports violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organizations. These organizations are not allowed to use Neptune for any purpose, including recruitment, propaganda, or fundraising.
If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it immediately. If you believe anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement agency to report the situation.
What This Policy Means for You
Prohibited Content
Do not post content on Neptune that includes any of the following:
- Content produced by or on behalf of violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organizations.
- Praise or glorification of violent acts carried out by such organizations, or memorializing individuals affiliated with these groups to encourage further violence.
- Recruitment efforts for violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organizations.
- Depictions of hostages or content intended to solicit, intimidate, or threaten on behalf of these organizations.
- Insignias, logos, or symbols associated with violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organizations, if used to praise or promote them.
- Content that glorifies or promotes violent tragedies, such as school shootings, mass attacks, or other atrocities.
Neptune considers multiple factors, including designations by government and international organizations, to determine what constitutes violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organizations. Accounts associated with such groups or individuals may be terminated immediately.
Educational, Documentary, Scientific, or Artistic Content (EDSA)
Neptune allows content covering topics of terrorism or crime if it is for educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purposes. However, the context must be made explicitly clear within the content itself (e.g., in the video, audio, or accompanying visuals). Content that is graphic or controversial but provides sufficient context may be subject to age restrictions or warning labels.
Examples of Prohibited Content
Here are examples of content not allowed on Neptune:
- Unedited re-uploads of content created by terrorist, criminal, or extremist organizations.
- Songs or memorials celebrating terrorist leaders, violent events, or criminal organizations.
- Content linking to external sites that espouse extremist ideologies or are used for recruitment or dissemination of prohibited material.
- Footage filmed by perpetrators during violent events, especially if it depicts weapons, violence, or victims.
- Links to external sites hosting manifestos, propaganda, or recruitment materials for violent organizations.
- Modified video game content created to glorify violent events, perpetrators, or extremist organizations.
- Fundraising for violent criminal, extremist, or terrorist organizations.
- Content that glorifies or promotes violence against civilians.
These examples are not exhaustive. If you think your content might violate this policy, do not post it.
Enforcement
Content Removal & Account Actions
If your content breaches this policy, it will be removed, and you will receive a notification of action taken. Additionally, if we are unable to verify the safety of any content you have posted, it may also be subject to removal. Any content that violates our guidelines, whether included in posts or metadata, may lead to the removal of that content and any related media.
Severe Violations
Content that poses an imminent threat, involves criminal activity, or promotes violence will result in immediate account termination. Accounts dedicated to policy violations or egregious abuse will also be terminated.
Monetization Penalties
Violations of this policy may lead to the suspension or removal of monetization privileges. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal. If the appeal is successful, your monetization privileges may be reinstated.
