What This Policy Covers
Neptune does not allow content that falls into the following categories:
Prevention Misinformation
- Claims that contradict health authority guidance on how specific health conditions or diseases are prevented.
- Encouraging the use of unproven or harmful substances as a method of disease prevention.
Treatment Misinformation
- Claims that contradict health authority guidance on treatments for specific health conditions.
- Promotion of substances or medical practices that have been debunked, confirmed as harmful, or are not recognized as safe and effective by scientific consensus.
- Claims of “guaranteed cures” or discouragement of seeking professional medical care.
Personal Health Experiences vs. Medical Claims
Neptune allows personal experiences with illness, medications, or treatments as long as they follow these guidelines:
- Clearly state that the content is based on personal experience and not professional medical advice.
- Do not generalize personal experiences as medical facts or claim that a specific treatment will work for others.
- Avoid making claims that contradict scientific evidence or encourage others to forgo medical care.
Examples of Acceptable Content:
✔ Sharing a personal experience with a specific medication and how it affected you.
✔ Discussing the emotional impact of a medical condition or treatment.
✔ Documenting a personal lifestyle change that improved your health, without claiming it is a medical cure.
Examples of Content That Violates This Policy:
✘ Claiming that a specific herbal remedy cures cancer or other serious conditions.
✘ Discouraging vaccinations by spreading false claims about their ingredients or effects outside your own personal experiences.
✘ Promoting an unproven treatment while urging people to avoid medical professionals.
Livestreams vs. Static Content
Allowed on Livestreams:
- Personal discussions about health experiences that do not contradict scientific consensus.
- Educational discussions about health, provided sources are cited and content is factual.
Prohibited on Livestreams:
- Live promotion of misinformation (e.g., recommending unapproved treatments as cures).
- Encouraging viewers to take harmful actions or avoid professional medical care.
All livestreams must comply with Neptune’s guidelines, and violations may result in immediate suspension of livestreaming privileges
Enforcement and Consequences
- Content violating this policy will be removed, and users will be notified.
- Repeat violations may result in strikes or account suspensions.
- Severe violations that result in harm or encourage dangerous medical misinformation may lead to account termination.
- Neptune reserves the right to remove accounts or content that repeatedly spread harmful medical misinformation.
