At Neptune, the safety and well-being of our users and the integrity of our community are top priorities. We allow a wide range of content but prohibit content that poses a danger to others, promotes harm, or violates laws or guidelines.
Prohibited Content
The following types of harmful or dangerous content are not allowed on Neptune. This is not an exhaustive list, so if you think your content may violate this policy, do not post it:
Harmful or Dangerous Acts, Challenges, and Pranks
- Extremely Dangerous Challenges: Challenges that risk physical injury or harm.
- Threatening or Dangerous Pranks: Pranks that cause victims to fear for their safety or cause severe emotional distress, particularly to minors.
- Harmful or Dangerous Acts: Any acts that pose a significant risk of serious injury or death.
- Minors in Dangerous Situations: Content that endangers the emotional or physical well-being of minors.
Weapons Content
Allowed Content:
- Educational or artistic content featuring weapons, as long as it does not promote or encourage violence.
- Hunting content, provided it does not depict gore or violence and is tagged as 18+.
Prohibited Content:
- Content instructing or encouraging harm or violence against others.
- Instructions on using weapons to injure or kill others.
- Instructions for creating explosive devices.
- Digital Security Content
Prohibited Activities:
- Phishing or teaching users how to steal personal information or credentials.
- Demonstrating hacking techniques for malicious purposes.
- Instructions for bypassing payments or accessing unauthorized content.
- Cryptocurrency phishing schemes.
Illegal or Regulated Goods or Services:
- Content promoting the sale or distribution of illegal goods, unregulated pharmaceuticals, or other prohibited items.
Permitted but Age-Restricted Content
Some content that may not violate our policies outright will still require 18+ tags to protect viewers:
Weapons Content:
- Display of weapons in an educational, artistic, or recreational context (e.g., demonstrations on safe handling, historical discussions, or hunting content).
- Content discussing weapons for self-defense purposes without promoting violence.
Hunting Content:
- Recreational or educational hunting content that excludes any gore or violent depictions.
Dangerous Acts:
- Educational or documentary content that discusses dangerous acts' risks without promoting or glorifying them.
- Content sharing personal stories about past injuries or challenges with sufficient context and disclaimers.
Note: Simply saying “Don’t try this at home” is insufficient context.
Examples of Prohibited Content
- Challenges encouraging physical harm, such as asphyxiation or ingestion of harmful substances.
- Pranks that simulate kidnapping, home invasions, or other serious threats.
- Videos providing instructions to harm others or create weapons or explosives.
- Content encouraging the illegal sale or distribution of weapons or regulated goods.
- Hacking tutorials intended to compromise personal data or steal credentials.
- Hunting content that includes graphic depictions of violence or gore.
Best Practices for Compliance
- Tag content that contains weapons or hunting themes as 18+ to ensure it reaches the appropriate audience.
- Provide context for educational or artistic content involving dangerous topics.
- Avoid sensationalizing, promoting, or glorifying dangerous acts or weapons usage.
- Ensure hunting content focuses on technique, education, or recreation without showing gore or harm.
What Happens If Content Violates This Policy
If your content breaches this policy, it will be removed, and you will receive a notification of action taken. Additionally, if we are unable to verify the safety of any content you have posted, it may also be subject to removal. Any content that violates our guidelines, whether included in posts or metadata, may lead to the removal of that content and any related media.
Immediate Termination
In severe cases, such as promoting violence, illegal activities, or malicious hacking, your account may be terminated without prior warning.
