Channels are an excellent way to curate content your community may enjoy as a series. However, there may be instances where channels inadvertently contain content that is not allowed on Neptune and could harm the community. Channels that violate our Community Guidelines are prohibited.

Here’s a simple way to assess compliance: if all the videos in a channel were combined into a single piece of content and that content violated our Community Guidelines, the channel may also violate the guidelines.

If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it. If you need to report multiple pieces of content from one user, report the account instead.

What This Policy Means for You

If You’re Creating Channels

Do not create channels on Neptune that fit any of the following descriptions:

  • Inappropriate Titles, Thumbnails, or Descriptions: Channels featuring thumbnails, titles, or descriptions that violate our guidelines, such as:

    • Pornographic content or images designed to shock or disgust.

    • Misleading titles or descriptions that trick viewers into expecting different content than the channel contains.

  • Problematic Content Collection: Channels that include videos that don’t individually violate our policies but are organized in a way that violates guidelines, such as:

    • Educational content featuring nudity or sexual themes intended for sexual gratification.

    • Documentary-style videos of graphic violence used to glorify or shock.

  • Removed or Deleted Content: Channels with multiple videos already removed for guideline violations. If videos in your public channels have been deleted or removed, take time to update and remove them.

  • Harmful Content: Channels depicting physical, sexual, or emotional mistreatment of minors.

This list is not exhaustive. Do not publish a channel that you suspect might violate these policies.

Examples of Violations

Here are some examples of channels that violate Neptune’s Channels Policy:

  • A channel of violent news footage with a title such as “Best Bombings.”

  • A channel titled with discriminatory or hateful language, such as one calling for segregation of specific groups.

  • A channel publishing an individual’s private information, such as their phone number, home address, or email, to direct abusive conduct toward them.

  • A channel of dangerous or threatening pranks, such as fake home invasions or robberies.

  • A channel featuring videos of minors accompanied by exploitative or sexualized titles.

These examples are not exhaustive.

What Happens If Content Violates This Policy

If your content breaches this policy, it will be removed, and you will receive a notification of action taken. Additionally, if we are unable to verify the safety of any content you have posted, it may also be subject to removal. Any content that violates our guidelines, whether included in posts or metadata, may lead to the removal of that content and any related media.
