Neptune prioritizes the safety and integrity of our creators, viewers, and partners. We rely on each of you to help us protect this vibrant and authentic community. Understanding our Community Guidelines is essential to this shared responsibility. Please take the time to read the policy below carefully.

Content intended to impersonate a person or channel is not allowed on Neptune. We also enforce the rights of trademark holders. A channel or its content may be removed if it confuses the source of goods or services advertised.

If you see content that violates this policy, report it. If you believe your account or another creator’s account is a victim of impersonation, you can report the account.

What These Policies Mean for You

If You’re Posting Content

Do not post content on Neptune that fits any of the following descriptions:

Account impersonation: An account that copies another account’s profile, content style, or overall look and feel in a way designed to appear as someone else’s account. The account does not need to be identical; intent to impersonate is enough to violate this policy.

Personal impersonation: Content designed to make it appear like someone else is posting or managing the account.

If you operate a fan account, explicitly state this in your account name or handle. It should be clear to viewers that your account is not affiliated with or representing the original creator, artist, or entity being celebrated.

Examples of Violations

Here are some examples of content that violates Neptune’s Impersonation Policy:

  • Accounts using or appearing to use the same name, handle, and profile image as another account, with minor changes like inserting a space or replacing a letter with a similar-looking character.

  • Using someone else’s real name, username, image, brand, logo, or other personal information to trick others into believing you are that person.

  • Creating an account with the same name and profile image as another person and pretending to post content on their behalf.

  • Creating an account using another person’s name and image, then posting comments as though they are coming from that person.

  • Accounts claiming to be “fan accounts” in the description but not clearly stating this in the account name or handle, or re-uploading content from another’s account without permission.

  • Accounts impersonating an existing news organization or public entity.

These are just a few examples; this list is not exhaustive. Do not post content if you believe it may violate this policy.

What Happens If Content Violates This Policy

If your content violates this policy, we may limit your account. Repeated violations of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service may also result in termination. Accounts dedicated to impersonation or severe abuse may face immediate termination without initial warning or requests for content removal.
